Hi Roger, I concur with the reply you’ve already gotten from the knowledgeable staff here. Down at the bottom of the canyon I would expect most of your images to be wide/grand landscapes. Unless of course you’re more into intimate abstracts, in which case you might want to consider one of the other lenses. If it were me, I would definitely be out there with your 10-24. Unfortunately I haven’t ventured down to the bottom of the canyon, so I’m not much help with the location part of things. But I’m sure it will be an incredible experience!!!

Miles is great. I have been in photography for so years and am a so-so photographer, but my only wishes to get just one great image published in a major publication.

Incredible. Right place at the right time with the right gear — and of course, one extremely talented photographer!

He is a master who captures the light in an awesome way that allows his photos to speak for themselves. He is a true visionary and an inspiration for all who aspire to reach new heights in their world of photography. Thank you Miles for your creative genius.

Well it’s a toss up, but if it’s only one I’d go with the 10-24, in the Canyon you are going to want wide for the landscapes.
The long tele on the 28-300 will be problematical without a tripod etc, plus it’s a honker for weight and length. The 10-24
kept on the body is going to be more of a grab and go. Enjoy!

Happy Shooting!

I’m currently shooting the Nikon D750, 28-300 lens, 10-24 lens, and 90mm macro. I can only take one lens on the mule trip.
