Few things are more important in photography then the old adage “Make a photograph instead of take a photograph.” I have found this to be true to me personally more times then can be counted. This can also slow you down, which is critical in our ADD society!
soon as Im accepted to the gold members Facebook page I can do these challenges, I just requested access I believe yesterday just awaiting notification of acceptance
I am interested in anything i can and improve my photography skills.
thank you
Frankly, the class highlighted what I was NOT doing and SHOULD be doing. It was so well presented and illustrated visually and verbally that I was inspired to go and do what was required. ‘Go’ in dead winter meant indoors or very close to home. Nothing to awe, but surely renewed season-dulled motivation.
Curious about class and content.

OK, I’m in, hope I learn something. What do I have to submit?
First I want to say Make Haste Slowly is what my Favorite Jamaican Aunt used to say to me when she was giving me advice! I always thought she made it up. LOL Also I love this lesson although I have to say it will be hard to leave my camera at home. Can I just leave it in the car? Thank you for making your lessons simple and clear and explaining why they are important as a photographer. Photography is my passion and I am always open to learning more and more and knowing why I am learning these things in the beginning is very helpful.
Hi, Wendy! Your assessment quite agrees with mine. Though in bitter cold or very wet winter, (now), I usually leave my camera at home, I was reduced to using my iPhone to get something I wanted to share for one of the emotions. I realized it is the ‘Be In The Moment’ part that is the meat to take away from the lesson, not how many settings you can try. This is pain good instruction if it provokes any positive action.
Looks interesting and educational
interested
Hi. Just became a Gold member. So when the admins approve me for the page, I’ll post. Thanks.
Trying to learn
I am interested and hope I have something to submit.
I will see if i can apply what i learn.
Ok
I need to step away from post processing and focus on photography in 2018.
Sometimes we get wrapped up in all the cool things we can do in our post work that we forget how important taking time to really master the craft that our actual photography is. I hope this course will give you some ideas on how to get there Jim!

Hi CB! Is there anyway the lessons could be posted on the Gold page Facebook page? It would give us a quick reference guide rather than going back to review this on the website. If not, no worries. Thank you!
Good idea Robin! I will look into if there is a way I can create a See! Create! area within the FB group somehow.
Thank you for these instructional challenges. it helps me to focus on my creative abilities. Being in the moment has an expanded meaning to me. I love being outdoors and traveling. I can get so excited about what Im seeing that slowing down feels almost impossible. Im sure there is something just around the corner Im missing. Slowing down has allowed me to see what I would have normally passed by as I run to that expected surprise just around the corner. The world of beauty has become much larger by slowing down.
I think that is one of the biggest challenges that most photographers face Debbie. After seeing what becoming more mindful has down for my photography, I am starting to implement into all facets of my life now. I have a lot of possible distractions right now and learning to not try and multi-task and be present, working on one thing at a time is one of my goals for this year!
Interested in the class.
Great to hear Cathy! I look forward to seeing your work!
I am new to this. Not sure I will submit, but will do ll of the lessons.
Welcome, Deborah! The great thing about this course is you can do it in any manner you like. While I recommend submitting images so I can give you feedback, just following the lesson on your own will help you as well!
I am new to this…not sure I will ubmit, but am interested in the lessons.
I disagree. I feel your image is not calm but fraught with distress. The colors seem to announce a storm brewing.
