what is the difference between acrylic and metal ?
Dear Ed,
Thank you for your patience. In response to your question-
In the case of Bayphoto, an Acrylic Print is a photographic print face mounted on clear acrylic. According to their web site they are:
Vivid, high detail prints mounted behind polished acrylic for maximum impact

Metal prints are:
Stunning prints on aluminum in standard and custom sizes

A metal print is made by “infusing” printing dyes on a sheet of specially coated aluminum.
So in brief, an acrylic print is a photographic print mounted under a sheet of clear plastic and a metal print is a inkjet print made on a thin sheet of specially coated aluminum.
