Next Level Histogram Tips
David JohnstonOn your camera display screen, you can access the histogram. Do you use it? You should. In this premium video, Outdoor Photography Guideās David Johnston gives you tips on the histogram, which measures the light inside your image.
The left side of the histogram graph reads shadows, while the right side reads sunlight. On the histogram, you need full lighting coverage across the graph to embrace the complete image.
You can make additional lighting adjustments in your editing suite. On his image of a mushroom, David works the tool sliders to achieve balance on the histogram.
The goal is to measure the light accurately. The histogram will aid you in doing that.
