Jason Hatfield is an outdoor photographer from Colorado specializing in nature and adventure photography. His childhood was spent surrounded by the flat farmlands of the NW Ohio but his family’s regular camping trips out west inspired his love for the mountains and outdoors. He now lives in a travel trailer full-time with his wife, Megan, and dog, Glacier, backpacking, hiking, running, biking, and skiing around the West. Some of his favorite adventures include running rim-to-rim through the Grand Canyon, backpacking in a sea of blueberries below massive Mt. Denali, and seeing the Northern Lights over Iceland, Alaska, and the Canadian Rockies.
Jason makes a living sharing his love for the outdoors through photography, videography, workshops, and educational materials such as eBooks and photography tutorials. “My vision is to share the beauty of our world through many forms of media. I want to reveal all that is breathtaking and beautiful, astonishing and different. Whether it’s a place often visited or not at all, I want others to see the world as I have, and to motivate them to continue the protection and care our wilderness.”
I am from Charlotte, NC and attending the University of Colorado in Ft. Collins. Interested in video and creating image with my new Sony mirrorless which I am trying to learn.
Photography is strictly a hobby for me, but I truly enjoy photography of nature and wildlife especially. Always eager to learn.
