Great shots start with focusing and composition. When used correctly, you can get great depth and life in your photos. But underwater wildlife photography can pose some interesting challenges with composition and focusing due to lighting and the movement of the animals. In this session, you will get some great tips for setting up an underwater shoot and learn the best focusing practices while the manatees at Birds Underwater Dive Center act as the models.

You will learn about aperture priority and shutter speeds while shooting underwater. Your exposure may need to be set up or down, depending on the animal you are shooting, the color, and lighting. You’ll also be treated to some beautiful shots that illustrate the lessons.
