Duration:   1  mins

Description

You love taking photographs, but the fun shouldn’t have to stop there—you can use those photos in various creative ways! As do-it-yourself projects continue to get more popular, options are becoming more plentiful for beautiful DIY photo books that contain nothing but your own photographs. In this course you’ll learn how to make a photo book from seasoned photographer Layne Kennedy. As an example throughout each session of the course, he uses a book he put together of his own photographs taken in Key West, Florida.

Kennedy clearly explains eight stages of book development, including pre-planning your book, printing options, editing and selecting your images, deciding on a theme for your book, developing creative layouts and photo backgrounds, and building your book. There’s also a session discussing tips and tricks to make the book-making process even simpler.

At a recent trip to Key West that I decided I'm gonna put a book together on this. So in this DVD, I'm gonna show you how we put these images into a 40 page book that is going to excite you to wanna come to Key West, which is the ultimate goal. But really the personal goal, is to show you how to display a wonderful collection of photographs in your own self published book. So why self publish? Why create a book? There's a lot of reasons why. The beauty in it is that you have the opportunity to take your own creative visual imagery, and put it together in a collection around a theme, and publish it in a way that you can share it with people that educates them how you want to see the world and want others to see the world. The tools are there for you to be able to utilize your creativity, and put a photo book together that you may never have considered before. You can do it in print, you can do it as an iBook or as an ebook. The variations to how you can express yourself visually, are there waiting for you to happen. We're gonna show you how to do it, how simple it is, how exciting it is, how you can embellish it, how you can take a certain collection of 40 images, and make a very compelling and provocative book.
