Easily Remove Distractions From Photos in Photoshop
David JohnstonYou love photographing majestic locations including national and state parks, but there are often distractions, namely signs and tourists. In this premium video, Outdoor Photography Guide’s David Johnston uses post processing to remove those distractions.
In Photoshop, David needs to remove people from a wide angle waterfalls image in Iceland. He zooms in on the tourists along the shoreline. With the rectangle tool, he outlines two people. He clicks on Edit and then Generative Fill. When he next clicks on Generate, Photoshop produces three visual options to replace the people. He chooses the best one.
The editing continues as he repeats the Generative Fill process for the rest of the people. Then, he replaces the signs, fences and other distractions with the same process.
David calls Generative Fill an easy fix. Try it on your own images, and you will agree.
