Saturday I was lucky enough to see a Bull elk in a field with four does and two fawns. This fawn wanted to feed but the bull wanted to mate so he kept running the fawn away and running after the doe.

I had an amazing day hiking in Wyoming and this beautiful hummingbird was checking me out. She flew all around me to be sure i was safe. Then she landed in her nest right beside me. I have never seen a photo of a hummingbird in a nest let alone get to see it right next to me. She let me take several photos and just stayed there as calm as could be. It was amazing 🙂

I thought this was the most amazing opportunity, to see the lioness with her cubs, drinking together. But it got way better, when she crossed the river, carrying one cub in her mouth and encouraging the other two to keep up. She was studying us, and planning her crossing strategy in this photo.

Sometimes the timing is just right as it was in this photo of the Bald Eagle. I particularly like that I caught it flying into the scene and the blurring of the background, but that it is still recognizable.

From the time these two eaglets hatched, I photographed them using my zoom lens. It was very hard to get a good closeup, since they were over a quarter of a mile away. If I came any closer, the parent eagles would swoop down and scold me. This is the last picture I got of them, since on this day they fledged and flew away.

When sitting hawk ignored the challenger at first, the challenger jumped up spreading its wings–the fight was on, but short lived. Sitting hawk won and reclaimed its log.

I captured this blue heron while it was fishing near my home. I used a Nikon D5300 with a Nikkor 200 x 500 lens . The settings were F5.6 with a 1/ 400 shutter and an ISO of 100.

I was invited by a local Audubon Society Group to photograph the wildlife on Craney Island located in Portsmouth, VA. There had been a mini drought and most of the area had cracked mud. We came across this area where a little of the recent rain had pooled. I was fortunate to capture this Semipalmated Sandpiper “dancing” through the water.

Just make sure to let the page load completely before looking for the upload box. Sometimes it can take a few seconds to fully pop up. I know it does this for me!

If you’re still having issues, I recommend doing a hard refresh by pressing, on your keyboard, CTRL+F5 at the same time and this should clear up any issues.

Some times the best pictures are just plain luck, having your camera near and catching a subject as I did these grizzly cubs. Seeing and then capturing these 2 cubs was so exhilerating as they were wrestling in many different positions in just a few seconds just before their mom quickly drew them back into the woods!

For sure! We just need a few details about the photo we need to remove. We need what the photo title is and I can get that removed for you! Also, a description of what the photo looks like would be helpful!

Just an FYI…..I find YOUR Contests very sad and for one main reason is that it is NOT Open to your Neighbors to the North (CANADA), but you will in fact happily take my money to join your little club, and for that reason I will no-longer stay a member after this year as you make me feel that it is OK to watch, but I am not allowed to participate, so oh well, sucks to be you, and good-bye very soon…..Signed…..Disappointed Member…..

      Hello Kevin,

First and foremost thank you for being a member with us and we hate to see anyone go. We always want to remain as transparent as we possibly can with our members, because it’s important to you and it’s important to us.

I wanted to let you, and our friends across the globe, that we’re working on getting our contests to include as many countries as we can. Right now we’re restricted to US only, which we know doesn’t serve a large majority of our members.

If it’s any consolation, we’d love for you to stay a member with us. We need members like yourself to help give back the feedback and comments so we can create new opportunities for our community! I have an offer for you to stay as a Premium member for $12.00. If you’d like to join us once more, please click the link provided:
