Video: Finding Your Photography Positioning

Ansel Adams had a rule to achieve a quality photograph. It is knowing where to stand, or photography positioning. In this free video, world renowned outdoor photographer Ian Plant takes you to the South Dakota Badlands for tips on photography positioning. After you select a landscape scene, he recommends shooting from different positions, left, right, up, down, forward and back. The key is to capture many variations. He shows you what he calls the perfect composition of the Badlands taken with his Canon 11-24mm lens. Pro shooter Ian Plant believes that a memorable landscape image is achieved through the technique of photography positioning.
