Description

What’s it like to work from a single image in HDR? In this video, Processing the Root Cell, post-production instructor, Tony Sweet, will show you how to process an HDR file using a single photograph.

Tony imports his best image into Aperture, makes exposure adjustments, and drops the RAW file into the Photomatix HDR software. Through double processing and double tone mapping, he adds color and contrast adjustments. He explains, “Even though I used only a single exposure, the double processing will give my final image the HDR effect.” After dropping the file into Photoshop, he adds a vignette for depth and drama.

Learn how to process a single image in HDR as Tony walks you through the steps to achieve the finished photograph.
