When you are shooting a landscape image in late dawn, the sunlight grows more intense, meaning you have to make adjustments. In this video, outdoor photographer Adam Barker shows you how to handle the changing light of late dawn by shooting with filters.
As the sunlight brightens, Adam photographs a lone fly fisherman in the Provo River the mountains as background. To take the glare off the river, he uses a polarizer filter to reduce the glare and provide separation between the scenic elements. He then adds a 3 Stop Reverse Grad filter to balance the lighting extremes.
