Urban Landscape Photography Tips for Water

Water isn’t always in obvious places. It gathers where it can, creating pools of reflection. It moves with a will of its own, exhibiting power through motion. With Layne’s help, your camera and its settings can partner with your own vision and imagination to capture stunning images of the bridges, culverts, and cut-throughs that process water through your urban landscape.

It never ceases to amaze me how fabulous this place is each time I come at different times of the day. Cities are like that. When you're in a town, especially a major city, like Minneapolis with the Mississippi, the Ohio going through Louisville, water can offer a tremendous inspiration outside of the mechanical, the architectural, the urban decay. It's just a different tool for you to shoot urban environments, visually.
