South Carolina’s Magnolia Gardens is home to a colorful river bridge. In this video, professional shooter Tony Sweet shows you how to capture this bridge through mirroring. You will learn how to make an HDR image from multiple exposures and how to create the mirror image in editing.
In the HDR format, Tony shoots five exposures at different settings, framing the half of the bridge that includes azalea flowers. In editing, he processes the five exposures into a single HDR image. To create the mirror image, he doubles the size of the canvas and flips the original photograph horizontally so that the two compositions mirror each other, resulting in a beautiful bridge panorama.
